At the heart of Jet Speed Metals is founder Ben Jette, a problem-solver, relationship-builder, and industry veteran who saw a gap in the metal supply world—and set out to fix it.

From Hospitality to Heavy Metals

Ben’s career progressed from a public accountant, to General Manager at ASA's Fremont, NH facility, Quality Flame Cutting. This smaller operation ran two oxy tables and two plasma tables and required him to wear many hats: from sales and purchasing to operations and hiring. The role allowed him to do what he loves most—solve problems.

Under his leadership, the facility saw a 66% increase in sales within his first year, driven by operational improvements and a culture shift that emphasized both customer satisfaction and employee well-being.

From there, Ben moved to ASA’s largest facility, managing over 60 employees across three shifts in an 85,000 sq ft operation. These experiences shaped a deep understanding of both high-volume operations and the human element that powers them.

Why he started Jet Speed Metals

Throughout his career, Ben noticed a pattern: small and midsize businesses were being underserved by an industry that prioritized large contracts and volume clients. Long lead times, big minimums, and inflexible processes left smaller customers scrambling.

Ben created Jet Speed Metals to flip that model—to build a company designed around speed, flexibility, and true partnership.
